My card this week is dedicated to our beautiful Mom. She passed away on June 11th, and not with Covid 19. I think she died from a broken heart. She was in extended care in Abbotsford, but we could not visit her. We even tried communicating through the window, but this was frustrating for her and us. She had hearing and visual loss which made it difficult.
She always looked forward to our visits every other day and we took her out for lunches and dinners. She took great delight the last few years looking at my sister's and my cards and loved receiving them.
My 2 brother's and Penny and I were allowed to be with her in her final week. The nurses at the Care Facility were always so gentle and kind to her.

What a beautiful card. Thanks for sharing with us at Watercolour Wednesday this week
ReplyDeleteThanks Dawn, love the feedback
ReplyDeleteHeather such a beautiful tribute to our mom. Yes I think she may have very well passed away because of her broken heart. COVID-19 sucked for her and she said to me one time on the phone, "if I don't die from COVID-19 then I will die of the boredom created by it. After having seen you card in real life, I can honestly say these pictures just don't do it justice. Its absolutely beautiful. Well thought out and the dry embossing on the die cuts is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank You Penny, I love You.
