WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY CHALLENGES WWC159 - MARSHA'S "ALL BOUT CHRISTMAS" CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone!    Christmas cards again, I love it!   Take some time and look at all the Design Team's Christmas cards.   They are all different and each one will inspire you to make your own.   Marsha is the Hostess for this Challenge and has created a beautiful Poinsettia card.   I also wanted to welcome Tenia Nelson to the group of Watercooler Artists.   I know she will inspire us with her cards.

Marsha inspired me to make a Poinsettia card and enter it for this challenge and also in the Merry Monday challenge as well.

I embossed the poinsettia in Gold on Vellum and then fussy cut it out.  The background is Whisper White card stock and used the Bough's and Berries E.F.   I then layered it underneath with Gold Foil on top of Whisper White.    I used a trick that my sister told me with the layer of gold foil ---- I  used the Holly die cut in the middle of the foil and cut out the Holly leaves --- and that way I was utilizing the empty space under the embossing layer.

  1. Oh my Heather, what a stunning white and gold Christmas card you've created. The Gold embossing on the Vellum is so beautiful and the Poinsettia image layered over the white embossed Holly and Berries panel is wonderful. I'm glad you remembered that tip about not wasting the layers but putting them to good use instead. Looks like it worked great for the leaves. Heather simply a beautiful Christmas card inside and out, and one that would be so awesome to receive. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card with us at the Watercooler Wednesday All About Christmas Challenge this week.

  2. Stunning inside and out, Heather! Where do I begin? The fussy cut, gold embossed, vellum Poinsettia immediately draws one's attention. The layers of white and gold as well as the background embossing frame the flower beautifully. Love the dainty die-cut holly and leaves both inside and outside. Everything combined is simply breath-taking and elegant. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
