WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE WWC#158 - HELEN'S MASCULINE "ANYTHING GOES" CHALLENGE

http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.com/

Hi Everyone!
I always love the Masculine Challenge the most, because who doesn't need more Masculine cards.   A big welcome to Helen Finlay one of the new Design Team Artists.  Check out her card - I just love those little racoons peering through the window.  So Cute!

The card I made for this Challenge looks like it could be used for Valentine's day, but it was made for my husband's birthday next week.  The little plane is soaring through all those clouds and pulling love hearts as well.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets:  All Aboard (Technique Tuesday), Blooming Love, You are Loved
Card Stock:  Night of Navy, Specialty Glossy White, Cherry Cobbler
Ink:  Night of Navy, Raspberry Ripple, Island Indigo, Assorted Marker's
Misc.:  Cloudy Day E.F., Heart's Delight Die Cut, Heart's Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Dobber, Island Indigo Twine, Dimensionals

I embossed the Specialty paper first and then used a dobber and added Island Indigo ink throughout the clouds.   The paper has stars in the background and hopefully you can see this effect in my pictures.   Don't forget to check out the cards and techniques from the Design Team on WWC158.   Lots of talent and inspiration.   Have fun!  See you next time!   Heather :)

  2. Oh what a sweet birthday card for your hubby. I know he's definitely going to love this one. I love the embossed hearts on that starry sky and your plane soaring into the sky, but those cute little hearts tugging on the strings really got me. Such a great card Heather. Thanks for sharing and inspiring at the Watercooler Wednesday Masculine Anything Goes challenge this week. Love it!

  3. Hi Heather, I've kept that embossing folder, too, and find it works wonderfully as a background. How perfectly those clouds work with that bi-plane, soaring through the air, pulling those hearts along! The Island Indigo really makes those clouds pop, too. Love the way you've continued those red hearts inside by using that pretty ornate die-cut. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
