EVENTS OVER THE SUMMER - CHRISTMAS IN JULY

PENNY'S CHRISTMAS IN JULY CARD CLASS!

Lucky me!   I timed it perfectly when I went down to check out our new Condo in Abbotsford.  My sister, Penny, just happened to have a card class on July 28th.   LOL!   Anyway, it was a great card class and Penny showed us many techniques and gave out some great tips throughout her class.   There were 5 of us and we really enjoyed the card making.   We made 5 Christmas Cards.   Yeh!   More to add to my stash.

Some photo's to share:

Aren't they beautiful!     My favorite is the last one and it inspired me to order the stamp set used for the wreath.   What a great idea!   I had only seen it used as a sunflower, but this was awesome.

"Thank You" Penny, for a great morning.   I learned a lot and am so glad you are my teacher.     Penny's blog is:
Take care again, Everyone.   Heather :)

EVENTS OVER THE SUMMER - JUNE/JULY

JUNE/JULY

June
I became a Demonstrator this month!    I am very happy and am looking forward to this new chapter in my life.  I won't be able to really get into it until September, as I am also in the process of moving to Abbotsford.
I am moving from a 4 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom & den Condo.    I have undergone so many garage sales -  let me tell you.    We have one more to go and then I never want to see or go to one, Ever!  It is so hard to downsize and also to let go of my treasure's.   Whatever is left over from the garage sales is packed up and taken down to the Thrift Store in town.   I had even packed up all my craft items, so was unable to participate in the challenges.

I was starving to make something, anything, when my sister (Penny), told me about a lady from Australia, coming to visit her daughter in Vernon.    Well, I got on my computer and sent her an email.   Her creative juices were also starving for something to do, as her and her husband had been travelling all over.    So I invited her to my house for an evening of getting to know each other and find out what each of us love to create.   I also invited my "Monday Night" ladies as well.   Only one, Laurel, was able to come.

My new stamping friend, Zena Kennedy, came over last Monday.
Her blog is :   www.zenakennedy.blogspot.com
You should check it out.   Awesome!   Her specialty was making little dresses of various sizes from paper.     She showed us how to make them.   She also showed me how to make "Christmas Crackers" using the Envelope Punch Board.   She never goes anywhere without her Envelope Punch Board.   She makes all kinds of box's too.  We enjoyed her so much.  Many great laughs!

I have put together some pictures of some of the little dresses and the Cracker's.   She also brought me a gift - 31/2 x 31/2  box with
3x3 Thank You cards and matching envelopes.

This is the one I made!  It was very easy to do - good teacher!

Zena's Gift to me!  Small Box holding 3 cards and Envelopes.

I really want to "Thank You" again Zena for a wonderful evening of show & tell.

Take care Everyone!   Keep enjoying the summer.    My move date is August 28th, so lots to do!    Heather :)
