MERRY MONDAY CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE #259 (CHRISTMAS TREES)

Hello Everyone!  This week the Hostess is Deanne and her challenge is Christmas trees.    I agree totally with her regarding trees, whether they are big or small or what color they are --- a Christmas favorite of mine too!    My inspiration came from a card posted on Pinterest.   I was looking for ideas on my new Woodland Embossing folder and I came across this idea!     I embossed on Basic Black card stock and then dragged my Whisper White ink pad down the trees and ended up with a beautiful image in ghostly grey.   I am going to use this technique for Halloween backgrounds.   What do you think?

WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE WWC139 - KATHY'S FEMININE "ANYTHING GOES" CHALLENGE

This week's challenge is Feminine "Anything Goes" and Kath is our Hostess.   Check out her blog and see her gorgeous card.    You can visit her site by going to WWC 139 and clicking on her name under her card.   There are some wonderful card ideas and samples to give you more inspiration.

First of all, I want to give "Thanks" to Tracy Elsom for giving me inspiration for my card.  Have you ever seen an idea that is so simple and tried it?  Well, I did.     The idea from Tracy was to stamp an image (from Beautiful You), and then cover the dress and hat with glue.    Then sprinkle very heavily with glitter.   Let it dry thoroughly.     Then you wind up with a beautiful image with glitter.    My card is made with Diamond Dust and layered with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.   Very easy!
