Yahoo!   Another Christmas card for my stash.   Thank you to the Design Team for the inspirational cards that you created for this challenge.   I loved all of them!    Libby is the Hostess this week and she started off with a beautiful card in red and green.

 

Of course for my card I had to use some glitter and mixed it up with some non-traditional colors.   I have seen pink Christmas trees, so I am not too far off track.   I used one of my "House Mouse" stamp sets and it is called "Christmas Tale".    This stamp set is so sweet with Mom and little one reading by candlelight.   I even made envelope liners and used a strip of the dsp inside the card.

Hi Everyone!    One never has enough Masculine cards!    My card for this challenge is using the "Woodland Texture and the technique of Faux Illusion.   There is a video of this technique on U Tube, under "Woodland Faux Illusion".   After stamping my images and embossing, I used my brayer and pulled in some colors and Walla!  A card that any man would love to receive!

WWC 127 - Judy's "All About Birthdays" Challenge

       I don't know about you, but I have a lot of birthdays throughout the summer months, so this was a great opportunity to create some.   This card is for my son in Williams Lake.     His family has gone to Prince George to stay out of the horrible smoky conditions, and he has stayed behind to look after the Regional District's phone and computer systems throughout the District.   He is also manning the phone lines in the Emergency Control Centre.   He is safe and is on evacuation Alert.    I am very proud of him for his courage and dedication.   His birthday is next week and I wanted to do a Special card for him.

        He loves his Harley and is always looking for an excuse to take off for a ride.    This was the inspiration for my card.     It is a retired Motorcycle stamp set that  I had borrowed from a friend and stamped off some images for future use.    Hope you like it.

WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY CHALLENGES - WWC126 - FIONA'S FEMININE "ANYTHING GOES"

Have a good look at the new banner.   It is in black and white and still includes the namesake Watercooler.  It is really cool and refreshing.    Also take a look on the right margin for changes to the weekly challenges. 

 

Fiona is the Hostess leading the way with her beautifully crafted Feminine card.   Check out the other Team Artists as well.    Again, they inspire us with their creations!

 

 

For my card, I have used Dragonfly Dreams.   I really  love the stamp set and dies.    I kept to the colors from the Spring Catalogue as it reflected a "Feminine" look for the challenge.   I embossed the sentiment in Gold on a band of Vellum and then mounted the vellum onto Detailed Floral Die cut.   This was then mounted onto the DSP "Falling in love".   

Unfortunately there was a lot of glare bouncing off the gold embossing for a good picture view.

 The top wings are vellum and then embossed with Iridescent Ice and then glued onto a golden wings of the dragonfly die cut..
