What a great Challenge!   I am so glad that the Design Team added Christmas card challenges.    Gail is the Hostess for this challenge and her image is just the cutest.   This doesn't mean that you have to do cute doggy cards, just a Christmas Card.   How exciting!    I try and make a Christmas card every week and when the first week in December comes I go through my stash of cards and put the address on the envelope and I am done.   It is a great feeling!   

 

My card is a sweet little snowbird on a branch and looking at all the delicious berries waiting to eat.

Hello fellow stampers!   The Hostess for this week's challenge is Colleen.    Her challenge is to create a Christmas Card using Mistletoe.   I thought I would share some information first,  with you on the story of Mistletoe.

 

The legend of mistletoe: 

At one time, mistletoe was placed over door ways for good luck.  It was believed that only happiness could pass beneath the mistletoe, therefore, rivals would embrace and seal their peaceful intensions with a kiss of friendship.

 

 

For my card I used the "Banner's for Christmas" stamp set.   It has a beautiful stamp of mistletoe, and I then added a  strip of glitter and finished the edge off with the "Finishing Touches Edgelits" in dark green.  I hung the mistletoe bunch upside down on the card and finished it off with a beautiful bow, mounted on a small stitched square with the "Joy" die cut.

Hi Everyone!   Another stamping challenge, and this time Judy is the Hostess, and her challenge is Masculine with "Anything Goes" theme.

My card this week is a Z-Fold Box Card and it was made with two Masculine guys in mind.    My grandson, Ian, and nephew, Jacob.    Ian will be "9" on the 20th and Jacob will be "22" on the 24th.    Both of these fellows love camping and I thought this would be a good theme to go with.  I used "Always an Adventure".   This stamp set unfortunately will be gone at the end  of this month.     I bought them gift cards and made a pocket at the back of each cards.

Hello Stamper's, Hope you all had a great Mother's Day!   It is a day for remembering and thanking our Mother's for being so Special and caring.    I thought I would enter this challenge to show how much Penny and I love our Mother.   She turned the Young age of 95 in April and is still going strong.   I call her the Ever Ready Bunny.   She has a fantastic memory.   First, of all, I thought I would share a picture of her and I.  This was taken in April on a walk.   Mom loves flowers and even though her eyesight has failed, she was able to see the brightness of this Magnolia tree that was in bloom.   We had a great walk and time together.

 

 

 

Last week's challenge card I mailed to Mom, so the card this week is similar with the colors, but has a lovely butterfly on the front.   The verse inside has been changed to "Happy Birthday".

Hello, fellow stampers!   This week the Hostess is Sue, and  the challenge is to create a Christmas card with a non-black silhouette, using colour or embossing powders.

 

For my card I have chosen a lovely die cut "Winter Wonderland Scene", by Cottage Cutz.   I added yellow to light up all the windows and added some glitter on the pathways, and two little birds to brighten the scene.

First of all, I want to "Thank" everyone on the Design Team for having me as a Guest Designer the last few months.  Second, I want to "Welcome" Judy Markowitz and Fiona Whitehead to the Team.   You have shared your creativity and inspiration with us over the past weeks. 

The new line-up for the challenges is great.  I could not help myself for entering this challenge.   How could I not?  My garden can wait....besides it is raining again!   My card is very Feminine, I think every lady loves shoes.   It is a Mother's Day card.   Our mother's favorite color is pale blue and this card was created with this in mind.  I used Soft Sky for the layers and Blushing Bride to pop out the shoe image.  Each layer has dimensionals.  Unfortunately my photo's do not show off the colors that well.

Hello, Stampers!    This week's Hostess is Nina and her challenge is to create a card using the "Night Before Christmas".   What a theme!   I love that poem "Twas the night.......".  It brings back lots of memories of my childhood and also my son's.    My card this week is a little mouse who has eaten all of Santa's cookies and is so stuffed and can't move.  But in his note to Santa - he still is "Thanking Santa for all the presents".   It is a House Mouse stamp set and is adorable.   Hope you like my card:
