So basically you just have to think masculine.  Otherwise anything goes.  It can be as simple or as fancy as you please.  It can be for a birthday, anniversary, Christmas, or anything at all.  Your choice.  You can see from the diversity of the cards created by our Watercooler Artists that there is a huge range of options open to you.  As usual, if you click on the name under each card, you can visit the blog post to see details on how the card was created.   We begin with Marsha's wonderful masculine card.

The Design Team cards were very versatile and all were beautiful.   My card is all about the Masculine Cowboy.  I just got this stamp set and already love it.  It is for a birthday and the Swirly Scribbles represent a cowboy's lariat or lasso for catching cattle.  The old weathered boots have been taken off after a tough day and are resting against the barn wall.   Of course, the little bird is singing Happy Birthday to the tired Cowboy.   (great imagination, huh?)

MERRY MONDAY CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE #219

What a neat challenge!   We have over 50 little birds that winter in our backyard hedge.  There are chickadees, brown sparrows, doves, flickers, and a large flock of quails.   We feed them from October to March and enjoy them so much.   My card for this challenge is using Penny Black's stamp set "Winter Wonderland", and featuring two cheery little guys.  I have popped them up with dimensionals and added glitter for a festive look.

HOW I LOVE SCREEN CARDS

Screen Cards
I love making Screen Cards.  They are one of the "Wow" cards that I love sending to my friends and relatives.

Card No. 1
This is a recycled Christmas card that someone sent me, and I didn't have the heart to throw it out.   It also turned out to be a beautiful  Vintage card.

Isn't it beautiful!   All you need to do is wrap a pretty ribbon around it and it is good to go. 

Card No. 2
I made vellum windows on this card and added tea lights behind it.
This was made for a birthday for a Friend.  She makes cards too, and I wanted a "Wow" card for her.

I embossed the butterflies and the flowers with Dapper Denim and used Dapper Denim and Whisper White Cardstock.

Watercooler Wednesday WWC90- Libby's Simply Stamped "Black on White" Challenge

 "Simply Stamping" is a return to basics.  We expect either one single stamped layer or a base with one single layer on that.  We expect simple stamping.  You can use masking, heat embossing, stencilling, sponging.  You cannot use an embossing folder or embellishments or additional layers (not even a tag). 

For this challenge, my card is the simplest one I have made.  I have one single stamped layer (white) on a white card base.   I kept looking at the card after I finished it, and thinking "Wow, this was so easy to make."

MERRY MONDAY CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE #218

I love plaid at Christmas!   It always looks so cheery.   One Christmas someone gave me some plaid Christmas balls and I love to put them in a bowl in my china cabinet.  They look so lovely.
For this challenge, I found some older dsp with plaid, framed around an empty space and I couldn't help but put my lovely little mouse in the center.   I also fussy cut a plaid hat for him to wear and then added some glitter.

Wow, Retro/Vintage are my favorite cards to make.  I have this Old House stamp and decided to use it.   The House is beautiful and looks very Vintage.   Added lots of snow and sparkle around and on the house, and my aqua painter to bring out some of the details.

I just love these color choices....way to go Penny!   I always pull the cardstock first and then go from there.   I had all the colors, but only a small piece of Soft Sky.  This was going to be my Sentiment piece and I used marker's from Subtles color range on the house that were a close match to Soft Sky.  My camera does not do justice to this card.  I would just love to have a house like this.

Well, this was definitely a challenge, as I have no Elf stamp sets.  I could have made a fake one using the Owl punch, but I went through my recycle stash, and low and behold I found a Elf Christmas tag.   These are such cute guys and I hope you like them.
