Watercooler Wednesday WWC56 Anything Goes!

For this challenge I thought of the Card in a Box to make for some  Special people in my life.  They are both Pisces and I love the "By the Tide" stamp set, so this theme was perfect to use.  I made two of these (one for my husband and one for our niece)   I also am posting a card made for someone turning "90" on March 1st.

I used Champayne Mist and Wink of Stella on the Sea Fans, Sea horses and shells to make them sparkle.

Well, this was challenging trying to find something with a bell on it.   I finally found one of my first stamp sets with a Christmas Cat and hanging around her neck was a BELL!   I bought this stamp the first Christmas after I adopted my cat (Jellicoe).  It was so like her.  She is now 17, but not as frisky.  On the card I actually glued a tiny bell and then used the sentiment of "jingle all the way".  I thought it was appropriate to finish the card with.   I also fussy cut the hat and used dimensionals to pop it out.

Thank you ladies for an Honorable Mention for my little House Mouse card!  I really appreciate the comments from your team and will proudly display my badge. 





Beautiful colour's, beautiful ring.  I have always loved the South-west colour's. There is also some amazing creations from the Watercooler Artist's.  I thought I would create an Easter card and use my favorite little fellow the "House Mouse".   He is seen juggling Easter Eggs and the stamp set is aptly named ..."Don't crack under Pressure".  I added Crystal Effects to the eggs and also popped them out with dimensionals.  Don't you want to "tickle" his tummy?  I also went hunting for Easter verses on the Internet.

I have this stamp set that I have never used.   How familiar is that statement?  Anyway, my card shows a beautiful little bird sitting on a branch with some berries.  My inspiration came from Colleen Foelker.  I used some beautiful Spellbinder Die cuts and changed it up a bit.  Thanks Colleen for the inspiration!

Welcome to the New Watercooler Artists!  I know you will be with us a short time, but I am looking forward to your creations and your challenges.
Wow!  When is the last time you used your brayer!  I had to look for it, but you know what, once I started using it for this challenge, I got really excited!  It was a fun technique and one that I will use a lot in the future.  For my card I thought I would use a sea scape like Deborah's.  I stamped an extra Sea Shell and cut it out, then used dimensionals to "pop" it out.

This is a really neat challenge.   I did not have any chalkboard stamp sets or paper, so I looked at the designers and how they came up with their cards.   I used a retired stamp set, but still very beautiful and embossed in white and then used white pastels to  smear it up a little to look like a chalkboard.  I then added a beautiful ribbon and a silver embellishment to complete the card.

Another great challenge!  I thought I would use the in-colours for my card and also that  great little "chick" from Honeycomb Happiness.   He is definitely welcoming in Spring looking so cheerful.  I also added the butterflies and painted on champayne mist to make them sparkle!

Today we our Winter Carnival started with a Hot Air Balloon race from one end of the city to the other.  At one time there were over 15 Hot air balloons in the air.  One went right over our house.  I did take a picture, but it was a cloudy day and the beautiful colors are hard to see.
