I thought I would make a card with snowflakes.  This card is a little different as I used a circle punch on each upper corner.  It is a vertical card with a ribbon on top.  My camera is not that great, but hopefully you can see the design on top.   I also used some recycled acetate from an old Christmas card.  It had a couple of snowflakes on it, and I added some more.

 



The white frame is mounted on Night of Navy card stock.

Seeing this is the last challenge for this year, I thought I would create a card and post it.  I have really enjoyed all the challenges this year and it was so nice to have a stash ready made to sent out.  I also finished the inside of the cards and had an envelope to go with it.  All I had to do was print out my address's and mail them out. 

This card is made from die cuts and is so elegant looking!

Card size:  5 1/2 x 5 1/2
Misc:  Christmas Boot die cut, Corner Snowflakes die cut, Sentiment die cut, Snow Falling Softly E.F. 

I used the larger card size as two boots looked better than one.  The die cuts are from Tattered Lace and Memory Box.  The embossing folder is Stampin' Up.  It was a very fast, easy card to make.

The photo and color swatch for our challenge are from Design Seeds.  This is a beautiful inspiration from Marsha for this week' challenge.  I used most of  the colors on my card, but could not fit in the water droplets in my scene.  In my scenic view of the trees there is a beautiful full moon which makes the trees shimmer and glow in the moonlight. This was accomplished using Versa Mark and Clear Embossing Powder.

Even though it was yesterday, I thought I would post the Birthday card that I made for her.  She really loves Owls, so using the Owl Punch, I created a Special Card for her.

WWC 45 - Susans Sketch Challenge

This was an easy sketch and I checked out the range of interpretations from the Watercooler Artists.  My inspiration is similar to Jackie Susnik.  I used my Northern Flurry EF as my background and used a cute little snowman to show some different shapes in the design.  This was an easy, fast card.

A VISIT WITH MY GRANDDAUGHTER

A SPECIAL VISIT WITH MY GRANDDAUGHTER 

My granddaughter "Laura" was visiting earlier in November and loves to make crafts.  She especially loves Owls right now and wanted to know if I had any Owl punches and could she make some cards with me.  Well, let me tell you, it was a Special two hours that I spent with her.   So I showed her the Owl punch and away we went.  We ended up making six cards.  She is using them for her birthday as invitation for six of her friends.

This Owl is from Sizzix and was on the front of the card too.
"Thank You Laura" for a wonderful time!  You are a natural for card making and choosing colors.   Laura will be 10 in December.

I loved  this challenge.  Who does not have a Reindeer?  My Reindeer is from Tattered Lace and I love him.  I popped a Red jewel on his nose, and made it look like he is in a snow storm.

WWC 42 - Bev's Photo Inspiration Challenge

Wow, this challenge took a lot of thought.  There were so many shapes, colors and individual objects to work into a card.  My inspiration came mostly from the picture hanging on the wall.  In my imagination I could see someone flying a kite in a beautiful blue sky with lots of clouds.  My card has the clouds, house windows representing the shapes on the couch and the column lamps, a silver butterfly kite and some lamp posts representing the ceiling fixture.  I also used five colors: black, blue, white, green and pink on the doors.

WWC 41 - Jackie's Sketch Challenge

Another beautiful sunny day in Vernon with a temperature of 5 above. Sounds like more snow on Silver Star Mountain. I won't be skiing this year because of my hip operations, but next year should be out there enjoying the snow sports. 

The design team displayed some lovely cards.  I thought I would keep to the Christmas card theme and here is my interpretation of the sketch above.  He is a cheery little guy with a Santa hat on.
